I made it through the gig without crying \m/ I cried before and after but at least I sat through the gig and managed to pretend that I felt fine. Although I sort of just stared into spaced and tried to avoid eye contact with the dude who kept turning around and staring at me - a dude who looked a lot like someone I met in Boston which made it even weirder/creepier.

Tyson’s been in such a good mood these past few days (I mean he’s been tired but he’s been acting like normal and he seemed to be doing relatively well) and I’ve been pretty optimistic but he’s having a bad day today. And I have to go see one of the bands that I’m managing tonight because I promised I’d go to their gig but I feel nauseous and I’ve already started crying. So tonight should be interesting. I wonder how long I can sit and pretend like I feel alright. I just hope it’s a short set so that I can be back home as soon as possible.

Beautiful watercolors by Ray Lowry. Ray spent some time on the road with The Clash from 1977-1979. The book “A Riot Of Our Own” by Johnny Green & Garry Barker features some of the artwork that Ray did while on the road with The Clash. The book is a fantastic memoir of Johnny Green’s time as a roadie/manager for The Clash. Highly recommended read.

Ray Lowry also designed the cover for London Calling. There’s a photo of him in the The Clash: Before and After, where Joe Strummer calls him “World’s Best Cartoonist”.
